Situation at Hand

A recent case exposed a hospital for alleged neglect that led to an 87-year-old man’s death in 2016. According to allegations in the case, the elder was admitted to the hospital after he suffered a heart attack. He reportedly had other complications as well. The man fell in the hospital, according to the family, and died three days later. The cause of death was reported to be pneumonia, which the hospital had allegedly screened for on admission and disregarded. The family has now sued the hospital and its parent company, claiming that the hospital’s neglect led to the man’s death.
