World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2020
Staying In Touch More Important Than Ever
Elders Suffering From COVID-19
Today, June 15, is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. Each year, World Elder Abuse Awareness Day reminds us of the shared values of elder justice and improving quality of life for older people around the globe. This year in particular the plight of elders from the COVID-19 pandemic has been horrific. Join with all of us here at Evans Law Firm, Inc. this year in opposition to abuse and suffering inflicted on the elderly and renewed dedication to improving their quality of life particularly in these dangerous times.
The San Francisco and California elder abuse attorneys at Evans Law Firm fight for elder abuse victims in California courts. Our lawyers know the pain and devastation elder abuse bring to older people in our communities and know how to pursue their rights in court. If you or someone you know is the victim of elder abuse here in the City of San Francisco or elsewhere in California, help them today by calling the California elder abuse lawyers at Evans Law Firm: 415-441-8669.
Most importantly, we ask you to stay involved in the lives of the older persons you love; it’s so dangerous when seniors are isolated and alone. You should consider ways of staying in touch safely during this pandemic when in-person visits may be dangerous. Use Facetime or Zoom if you can connect to your loved one directly or with the help of a facility staff member. Look for signs of mistreatment or neglect, protect them from exploitation, guard their property and valuables from theft, be a part of all their important decisions and most of all be a part of their lives, because they need you now more than ever.
