World Elder Abuse Awareness Day 2018
Think Globally, Act Locally
Today, June 15, is World Elder Abuse Awareness Day. International awareness days come and go and some skip our attention. Not this one. Elder abuse afflicts millions around the planet and right here in California, maybe including your own loved ones, friends and neighbors. The World Health Organization, United Nations, elder advocacy groups, and all of us here at Evans Law Firm, Inc. ask you on this day to think globally and act locally about elder abuse, one of humanity’s saddest problems. Join with us to pause and consider the plight of elderly persons subjected to abuse, neglect, and exploitation.
Right actions begin at home. The Marin County and California elder abuse attorneys at Evans Law Firm fight for elder abuse victims every day in California courts. Our lawyers know the pain and devastation elder abuse bring to older people in our communities and know how to pursue their rights in court. If you or someone you know is the victim of elder abuse in Marin County or elsewhere in California, help them today by calling the California elder abuse lawyers at Evans Law Firm: 415-441-8669.
Most importantly, we ask you to stay involved in the lives of the older persons you love; it’s so dangerous when seniors are isolated and alone. Look for signs of mistreatment or neglect, protect them from exploitation, guard their property and valuables from theft, be a part of all their important decisions because they need you now more than ever, do not let them be forgotten. They’ve worked hard, raised and nurtured us, saw to our needs and cared for us in their younger days. Now it’s our turn.
