Madera County

Madera County is located near the geographic center of California, just north of the Fresno metropolitan area and south of Merced in the state’s Central Valley. The central portion of the county is heavily agricultural, producing primarily almonds, dairy products, and grapes. The central part of the county is more developed and is home to the county’s largest city, the City of Madera.
