A recent case of elder abuse comes from Clayville, California. A man from Clayville has been accused of stealing over $250,000 from an 85 year old elderly woman. The woman contacted police when she found inconsistencies in her financial accounts. After some investigation by police, it is believed that the woman’s accountant closed some of the woman’s accounts and transferred the money to his company and to his personal accounts.
