FBI investigates a Riverside nursing home
The FBI is seeking any evidence in relation to alleged criminal activity at a nursing facility in Riverside. Our California nursing home abuse attorneys do not know the exact nature of the federal probe because the FBI keeps it under seal, but they took documents after executing a search warrant. The Evans Law Firm is following the case.
The owner of the nursing home is Shlomo Rechnitz, a Los Angeles entrepreneur who created his business in the nursing facilities. He has under his control many nursing homes in the country and some have already been investigated by authorities. The investigation is concerning elder abuses executed by employees of the nursing facilities by and administrator and top nurse, who have been charged with criminally inflicting injury on an elder adult and failing to report this abuse. Moreover, there is another elder abuse case where two registered nurses at the facility also owned by Rechnitz are accused of dependent-adult abuse in relation with the death of a burn victim allegedly neglected. We have written about that case before.
In Riverside, the facility spokeswoman confirmed no employees were arrested after the FBI raids.
However, remember to be vigilant about elder abuses in nursing homes and report any facts of an abuse, otherwise you could be charged for complicity in a criminal court.
